Ryan J Gets Scoped

Not such a fun day today for Ryan Jay. He had an endoscopy and a flex sigmoidoscopy this morning. The procedure went well and they didn't see anything physically wrong, they did take biopsies from both ends. He had a lot of mucus in his lungs and they had to give him a breathing tube and some breathing treatments afterwards. but his O2 went back up quickly.



It's a painful recovery from the procedure, they pumped him full of air, plus he had general anesthesia which made him nauseous, and they stuck a scope down his throat so that's sore, and he got an enema and a scope up his butt so ouch!! poor little guy!!! no wonder he was inconsolable for so long afterwards!



he did finally get to sleep and had a really good nap and did start to eat some afterwards and he played and babbled pretty much like normal tonight. so thank you so much for all of your prayers and support!! now we wait a week for the results of the biopsies.
