Homecoming GCC

Over the weekend we went to grove city for homecoming. We had a great time despite the fact that I was sick the whole weekend :-/ Ryan got to meet his Aunt Anna and Blake and we got to eat dinner with one of my college roomates and her husband. (miss you megan!) and of course we hit the outlets while we were there :)

New Holland Fair

Last week we went to the New Holland fair with some friends. Ryan slept through almost the entire thing, including when the big trucks blew their horns!

Fun Times

We went to Shady Maple Smorgasboard on saturday with my parents and Katie and her roomates, YUM! Ryan was quite taken with Katies roomates, he stared adoringly at them! In other flirting news I got whistled at when I went out to get the paper the other day, that feels good three weeks after you've had a baby!

Tim and I got to go to the game on Wednesday night while my parents watched Ryan. We had so much fun, and we hear Ryan was a good boy, and of course the Phils won!! Now they're tied for first in NLeast with 3 games left! Go Phillies!!

Hangin' Out

Esther is not too sure what to think about Ryan, but she did finally hang out with him some for tummy time.



and the other day she hung out with trent when he was over, they're becoming good friends, although i think esther will be more likely to stick around longer when his petting is less like hitting :) esther also decided she'd be the one to sit in the booster seat instead of him, i thought this was hilarious.

I took Ryan to where my dad and I work to show him off. Here's a pic of him at my desk, doesn't he look like he's saying "ooh, i don't know about this guys."?

Garden Spot Village Groundbreaking

Well finally, after much waiting, Garden Spot Village had the groundbreaking for their new apartments where Mommom and Poppop are going to be moving at the end of next year. Who's excited?! It was a beautiful day yesterday to have the outdoor "to-do".

Welcome Back!

I know I haven't posted in a long time, but seriously there was nothing to write about! (sorry Kara!) But now I can happily say that Tim's dad returned home late last night from several long months of cancer treatments in texas!! WELCOME BACK!!!! Tomorrow the fam is getting together for a little welcome home party so I can post some pics after that. He'll be headed to his local doctors this week to find out how well the treatments worked so please continue to pray for him and his health. Looks like he's made it back in time for Ryans birth!

37 weeks

Ryan is at 37 weeks today. We're very grateful for all your prayers since the preterm labor scare at 29 weeks, he's now considered full term! Mommy and Daddy are ready so anytime now is great! It looks like he is determined to hang out for a little while yet. My mom, sister and I went shopping/walking the mall today for a good 4 hours and he's still settled in there. He may have heard that his grandpa manthey is on his way home from texas so he might be waiting for him to get back to pa!

Blog Slacker...

Well i've been slacking! Since last time I posted we did lots of things and I have updated the online pics with photos. We had a fondue night which was great fun and very tasty! A few days ago I got off of my meds and off bedrest!! So now we're just waiting until Ryan decides to make his appearance :) We also celebrated my dads birthday with the fam this weekend. My fam also went to the shore the week before I got off the meds, we were quite sad that week since we didn't get to go this year but we're all looking forward to next year with baby Ryan! Here's some recent pics...

Deckerama

Last weekend Tim finished restaining our deck. What a huge project. It looks fantastic now, like a brand new deck! Here's a couple pics, the bottom one is an "in progress pic" so you can see the huge difference...

Our Crazy Kitty

Esther has such personality it's so much entertainment for me while I'm home all day! Last week after the shower she and I tested out the stroller. I made that into a photo shoot so there's a bunch of pics in an album but I'll post a few here too.





And then Tim hung a dead balloon in the doorway upstairs and she's been loving that! We tuck it into the door jam and she jumps up to get it out. Here's a link to a video of the action... (mommom I think you'll like this!)

Baby Shower on Bedrest!

Even though I'm still on bedrest Katie and Beth organized a shower for me here! I was even able to sit up for a lot of it so that was really nice! I think everyone had a good time. There were some really funny games, like one where they melted chocolate in diapers and people had to figure out what kind of chocolate bar it had been. I think my favorite was making pretzels in the shape of babies. Making pretzels is so much fun! I got lots more stuff that we needed too! Including a stroller!! It's the coolest stroller! Thank you everyone for everything and especially for hanging out with me! It was so good to see people again! Here are a few pics from the shower, there are more in an album in our pictures...

Happy Birthday Pops!

Happy birthday to Pops! Mom and Dad came over last night to celebrate dad's birthday. They apparently are running extremely low on sleep due all the week long summer trips they lead. They're even funnier than normal when they're running low on sleep! It was fantastic entertainment :) I've added a july album to our pictures. Most of the pics are from the 4th of july at our house but there's also a belly pic from 31 weeks and pics from dad's birthday. Enjoy!
